The Qualia Sabiki rod combination set consist of a SB-6 or SB-7 2-piece rod, (6-foot overall length, or 7-foot overall length) a cloth storage protective bag for the rod, and a Qualia new Mul10 spincast reel.
A sabiki rod is a device used to catch bait, small fish to be used in catching much larger fish. The Sabiki rod is unique as it allows you to wind all of the small and very sharp hooks directly into the center of the rod so they are full enclosed and protected from accidentally ending in a human adult or child’s extremities.
The tip of the rod is machined aluminum and funnels the line with the hooks attached inside the rod when you crank the handle on the reel. When you press the release button on the reel, it goes in to free spool to allow all the hooks with the weight on the end to deploy back into the water. When you turn the crank handle on the reel a quarter turn it locks the reel spool so there is no mor line going out unless the fish that are on the hooks start to run. You can then adjust the drag on the reel if needed to stop line from going out.
The rod will accept Sabiki hooks from #6 through # 10. You will have to check and see if any # 12 or larger hooks will pass through the tip. Since there are no standard sizes for Sabiki hooks some brands will go through. We have used anywhere from a half ounce to a 2-ounce sinker on the end to take the lane down and out of the rod. You must make sure that the circle ends on both the Sabiki rigs and you line hardware are small enough to pass through the head on the top of the rod.
The rod and reel need only a rinsing down with fresh clean fresh water when you are finished for the day.
The Qualia Sabiki Rod Combo use the Qualia MuL10 spincast reel as the standard reel for the combo. The reel comes preloaded with 170 yards of 10 lb. mono line on the spool. The handle can be used right or left-handed. The cover and all the hardware are stainless steel.

Warranty
Qualia Limited Warranty; Effective September 10, 2016
Qualia Corporation warrants to the original purchaser that this reel will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. During this period, Qualia Corporation will, at its option, repair or replace your reel at no cost to you other than the shipping cost you incurred to our service facility.
This warranty will be considered void if the reel is found to have been subjected to unauthorized alterations, abuse, or has been damaged by your failure to provide necessary and reasonable maintenance. This warranty is valid only to the original buyer of this product, and does not extend to commercial rental applications, and said buyer acknowledges that the buyer is not relying on the seller’s skill or judgment to select or furnish goods suitable for any particular purpose.

All warranties implied by law, including warranties of merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose, are limited to one year from the date of purchase of the reel. In no event shall Qualia Corporation or its related companies be held liable for incidental or consequential damages due to breach of this warranty or other warranties implied by law.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts nor do they allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
